If you're reading this blog, you probably already know the big news: I left my job at Barnes & Noble/Spark Publishing. As of this week, I'm enrolled in the Cultural Reporting and Criticism MA at NYU's School of Journalism (thanks to the generous support of the Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans). This term I'm taking seminars on 20th-century arts criticism and cultural journalism as well as an intro to reporting. Hopefully, I'll learn how to deepen the arts coverage I've been doing as well as expand into new topics and new modes of writing.
Plus who wouldn't rather be a student than a grown-up with a day job?
